Recipient FAQs

Recipients of services are the number one priority of the Department of Health as we move toward integrating specialized behavioral health services (mental health and addiction treatment) into Bayou Health.  Our goal is to ensure that the same or better level of care is offered during the transition and that no services are dropped.  LDH has compiled a list of FAQs to facilitate understanding of the process and inform recipients (also called Bayou Health or Magellan members) of their health plan, provider, and treatment options under integration.

Provider FAQs

These FAQs are geared to answer specific questions that providers have posed and are catered toward facilitating a smooth transition for provider contracting, billing, claims submission and other key areas of concern for providers in managed care.

Cooridinated System of Care (CSoC) FAQs

The CSoC FAQs will respond to issues and questions around care continuity for consumers of services and providers involved in the CSoC program.  The Cooridinated System of Care is a waiver program catering to a small subset of youth in the behavioral health population with the most high-risk needs who are in, or at risk of, out-of-home placement.  CSoC uses wraparound facilitation to ensure youth and their families stay together with community-based options for care.  Effective Dec. 1, 2015, CSoC will remain carved out of the service array being moved into Bayou Health and will remain under the management of Magellan Health.

Adult Outpatient/Community Behavioral Health Care (formerly 1915(i) services)

1915(i) services include Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), Crisis Intervention, and Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT).
