The 2011-2012 influenza season runs from October 2011 through April 2012. Below are the reports from this influenza season for the 2012 months. These reports will be issued weekly during influenza season. After regular flu season ends in April, influenza data will still be collected and analyzed weekly, but reports will only be published monthly as long as activity remains low. CDC will not produce any surveillance reports over the summer months, but the influenza surveillance website (www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly) will continue to be updated year-round with limited surveillance data.
