Louisiana AIDS Drug Assistance Program (LA ADAP)

LOUISIANA ADAP REMAINS CAPPED TO NEW ENROLLMENT.

Individuals newly eligible for LA ADAP who are unable to access the services of this program due to capped enrollment, should be referred to Patient Assistant Programs (PAPs) through pharmaceutical manufacturers for receipt of their HIV-related medications and added to the LA ADAP Unmet Need List.  Assistance in accessing PAPs is being provided by LSU Medical Center pharmacy and social service staff, as well as Ryan White-funded Case Managers at community based organizations throughout the state.

Clients who have not accessed services from LA ADAP within 6 months will be automatically disenrolled.  If, after being disenrolled from LA ADAP, an individual needs medication assistance, they will be regarded as a "new" LA ADAP client and will be referred to drug manufacturer PAPs and the LA ADAP Unmet Need List.
