The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers to provide supplemental certified nursing assistants (CNA) and registered nursing (RN) staff to provide nursing services to adults with a psychiatric illness. Registered Nurse nursing services average 8-16 hours per month and Certified Nursing Assistant nursing services average 1200 hours per week. A contract is necessary to provide qualified registered nursing and certified nursing assistant staff in sufficient quantity to meet the clinical needs of our clients, and to maintain the resources necessary to efficiently and effectively deliver professional nursing care of a quality consistent with the community and the national nursing care standards. The contractor shall uphold the policies and procedures that are congruent with the mission and goals of Central Louisiana State Hospital, the standards of professional practice, regulatory agencies, and the Nurse Practice Act.

1. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that provide pharmacy benefits management services, including claims adjudication, coordination of benefits and point-of-sale processing for its clients. The contract will begin August 15, 2012, and run through August 14, 2015, contingent upon the availability of federal funding. 2. A contract is necessary to provide pharmacy benefits management services to all eligible clients with coverage through third party providers including individual/group insurance, COBRA, Louisiana Health Plan, Medicare Part D, and Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP), as well as uninsured clients. The successful proposer will implement an efficient and cost-effective program with a comprehensive distribution network of pharmacies that provides services to eligible clients residing in all 64 parishes in Louisiana.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that provide technical support for the State Supplemental Rebate Program and Preferred Drug List Management Services and Supplies, including but not limited to research into the relative safety, clinical efficacy and cost of products within defined therapeutic drug classes.

1. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that provide administrative and direct care personnel to support continuous twenty-four (24) hour per day medical response operations as determined by the State Health Officer or designee for the duration of a declared disaster or emergency. 2. Multiple contracts may be necessary to provide administrative and medical services to augment staffing in support of the Department’s role in providing public health and medical care. Services will be needed to deliver medical and supportive care to individuals with physical and/or behavioral health needs during an emergency or disaster. Contractor(s) may provide these services based on the personnel they have available. Contracts will be activated based on the specific staffing needs (i.e. discipline needed), the scope of the emergency/disaster and highest proposal score. Specific expectations and requirements are outlined in the RFP.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers to provide for initial licensing based on the licensing requirements in statute and rule, and (when Medicaid participation is sought by a provider) initial certification based on the Medicaid Standards for Participation, licensing and recertification, periodic follow-up licensing surveys, and complaint investigations to ensure the quality of service delivery and the necessary safeguards to protect the health and welfare of persons receiving services from licensed home and community-based providers. Due to staffing shortages and CMS mandates, a contract is necessary for the Department to verify that providers initially and continually meet required licensure and/or certification standards; to verify that provider training and criminal background checks are conducted in accordance with state requirements; to identify, investigate, and seek to prevent the occurrence of abuse, neglect, and exploitation; to ensure deficiencies are remediated within required timelines; and to track and report data.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that will provide consulting services for the development and upgrade of the current Medicaid Eligibility Data System (MEDS), with a major developmental milestone of ACA compliant operational capacity by January, 2013, in addition to MVA‘s goal of provisional real-time eligibility determination by January 2014. MVA is specifically interested in vendor solutions that advance the MITA maturity and CMS compliance of MEDS, especially with regard to real-time eligibility determinations taking place using service oriented architecture (SOA).

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified proposers that provide services for Medicaid-funded HCBS programs through data collection and maintenance of inter-related data systems. 2. A contract is necessary to track individuals requesting home and community-based waiver/program services from the date services are requested through closure of their waiver slot or program discharge; maintain the waiver registries; offer waiver opportunities based on policy; link individuals to provider agencies to assist in obtaining services; issue prior authorization for services; track service delivery; undertake programmatic responsibility for the EPSDT and Nurse Family Partnership programs; and maintain the current inter-related data systems.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified entities/proposers by providing notice and information regarding procurement for the maintenance and support of the Medicaid Eligibility Data System (MEDS), for the State of Louisiana. MEDS operates for the purpose of maintaining records of individuals eligible for services through Louisiana’s Medicaid program and Louisiana’s version of SCHIP known as the Louisiana Children’s Health Insurance Program (LaCHIP). Maintenance for MEDS is critical to ensure it functions correctly and to modify system functions to meet new or changed business requirements in response to changes in state or federal laws, regulations or policies. The primary goals of MEDS are to: a. Accurately capture and maintain eligibility information in a manner that increases analyst productivity and accuracy. b. Timely transmit eligibility information to the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), third party administrator (TPA) or other business partners. c. As the Department identifies efficiencies that can be gained through increased sharing of data, MEDS should continue to expand its capacity to share data with external systems, and accept data from external systems by implementing web services or middleware interfaces.
