Purpose:

The purpose of our treatment program is to restore an individual to his/her highest level of functioning.  To achieve this end, we emphasize the need for each individual to:

• Recognize and acknowledge their alcohol, drug and/or pathological gambling problem
• Accept personal responsibility for their behavior
• Commit themselves to a lifetime process of recovery

Although there is no know "cure", these disorders are both preventable and treatable.  the Staff at this facility believe alcohol, drug abuse, and pathological gambling are chronic, progressive disorders that affect the well being of individuals and their families.  Recovery is a lifetime process.  CARP enlists the individuals family and significant others as well as volunteers and self-help groups such as AA, CA, and NA to provide a link to the community and a viable support system for aftercare planning.
