Establishing a Permanent Sense of Hope and Resilience Within the Community

>> I think our Louisiana Spirit motto sums it
up for us that hope is the enemy of despair

and we try to greet people with that hope;
we try to let them know that they have

within themselves a resiliency to kind of move
forward and to kind of re-create their life.

It might not have been the same life, but
re-create as good a life or a better life;

so I think that hope as the enemy of despair
is the thing that for me resonates in terms

of what we try to do and
continue to do in Louisiana.
